Decade Of Intense

Tour Intro:

Intense Records Dance Music Specialists situated in Chelmsford, Essex are ten years old this year and to celebrate are organising a year long tour at venues up and down the country. As a record shop they diversify into various different genres so will be representing the full spectrum of what they supply including Breakbeat, Dubstep and Drum & Bass.

The Decade Of Intense Tour kicked off on April 12th at Q Ball, Chelmsford featuring a colab and a half Heist & Fun, Part 2 featured the Jungle Drummer & DJ Fu Live @ Barhouse, Chelmsford on 18th April.   

In may the tour held residency at the Cave, Chelmsford’s most underground venue for 2 bank holiday specials. For Part 3 on Sunday May 3rd, Chase & Status & MC ID passed through for a dubstep, drum & bass spectacular, and then at the end of the month the tour returned for Part 4 on May 24th, feauring Subfocus and Fatman D.

In June, Intense took the tour up the A12 to London town, destination the Mass, Brixton on Sat 13th June hosting room 2 at Mayhem at the Mass a brand new event for the capital.

Part 6: Decade Of Intense

We return for part  6 of the ‘Decade Of Intense Tour’  for the one you have all been waiting for, featuring the undisputed heavy weight champion of D&B, the winner of Best DJ for the 10th successive year, Ram Records CEO, we present to you the executioner Andy C!!   If that wasnt enough Andy C is the highest drum and bass representative at DJs top 100 DJs Poll at number 28, and started the year getting the ultimate accolade from the bible of dance music Mixmag listing him in the top 10 of their Club lands Ultimate Power List. While running his label, signing new talents, producing and traveling across the globe to play some of the biggest clubs, Andy C is without doubt the busiest man in D&B, and one of dance musics best ambassadors.

The executioner will be joined by his weapon of choice, none other than MC GQ  
Since its inception back in the early 90's drum&bass has developed at a drastic rate, yet certain themes and characteristics have remained - The charisma, presence and distinctive sound of MC GQ is one such characteristic MC-ing at the top of the chain for more than 15 years has taken GQ to all the corners of the globe, seen him achieve chart success, and even given him the opportunity to establish his very own record label 'Emcee Recordings'. GQ has always been a DJ's MC, seeing his role as a middle man between the DJ and the crowd rather than constantly demanding centre stage. This approach has meant that you are as likely to see GQ at One Nation alongside Hype as you are to see him with Goldie at a Metalheadz session. Consistency and adaptability have kept GQ at the top of the MC ranks for 15 years and has made him partner to pretty much all of the top flight DJs, especially Andy C! With 15k of  Sound and with support from The Intense Hit Squad, prepare to be executed by bass!!
